UK 6-59 Lotto: Statistics, Lottery Strategy, ‘Hottest-24’

I am in a holiday mood. Since you are anxiously waiting for your World Cup of Lotto 2017, I got a gift for you. Following is an analysis of the UK 659 Lotto based on number frequency — both ‘regardless of position’ and ‘position-by-position’.

You certainly have heard of that lotto strategy that divides the lotto numbers in ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ and strongly recommends to play the ‘hottest-24’ numbers (top-24 based on frequency). Maybe there is something to it. As you can see in the next report, the strategy would have hit 5-winners on 5 occasions in the last 100 draws (marked by *).

Observe that in draws #1 (the latest, 24 Dec 2016) and #29, the strategy miss the jackpot by just 1. The 6th number in the report shows 25 — the lottery strategy needed the 25th lotto number instead (based on frequency not lotto #25 per se)!

Good “bet”, Doollow! I confuse ‘59’ (as in NY lotto) with ‘69’ (as in Powerball). The frequencies of numbers 1 to 59 are correct, however.

Here is the skip report for UK 6/59 (double checked that!) — 125 drawings, last draw 24 Dec 2016. The ‘FFG median’ for probability p = 6/59 and degree of certainty DC = 50% is N = 6.46 (rounded up to 7). Thusly and therefore, the strategy requires playing lotto numbers with current skips between 1 and 7. If there aren’t 24 numbers under the ‘FFG median’, add current skips equal to 8.

We only care about one parameter only in the skip report: ‘Any Position’. It defines the skip regardless of position drawn. You notice that the skip median is closer to 6 than it is to 7.

Axiomatic:

Before getting started: I notice you don’t have a royalty name. True RGLers must have a one-word unique name. Perhaps you are an old-timer here and I already gave you a royalty name. Revealing it will be highly appreciated.

I picked only lotto numbers that appeared in the last 6 drawings. That is, the numbers have current skips from 1 to 6. It is proven mathematically that such numbers appear more frequently TOGETHER than lotto numbers with longer skips.

The mathematical fact is further backed by statistics. When you sez “report layer 1” you probably refer to this Web page:

The layer 1 in the report published on that page refers to the 6-49 lotto game in Pennsylvania Lottery. The POT parameter refers to the amount of last draws that the 6 winning numbers came from. The FFG median in 6/49 lotto is 6.

The particular software that created the report deducts 1 from the skips (because it uses the skips as filters). Thus, the skips under or equal to FFG median are from 0 to 5. The software I presented here (SkipSystem) calculates the skips from 1 to 6 (as the skips are not used as filters in this case).

In the report on the page mentioned above, the POT parameter was sorted in ascending order. The fragment shows 14 rows, with values from 3 to 5. In SkipSystem, the values would be from 4 to 6. Yes, on 2 occasions, ALL 6 numbers in a draw came from the last 4 lottery drawings. In 2 other cases, the 6 winners were also drawn in the most recent 5 drawings. In 10 cases, the 6 winners came from the previous 6 lotto draws.

By contrast, as I said in my article, I haven't seen one single draw with ALL 6 skips in double digits. Usually, I use that finding as a component of a lottery tactic I call ‘LIE elimination’:

I have a very high confidence that, say, the 20 lotto numbers with very long skips will not come up together in the very next draw. Thusly, I deduct some 38760 combosnations from the amount of combinations generated by the main lottery strategy I applied in that particular situation.

I. I see now what you meant by ‘layer 1’, axio. You referred to the LIE ID reports. The software that creates them reports is available only to the ‘Ultimate’ membership at my website. That’s the reason why I wasn’t more specific in my original post. Without the ‘Ultimate Software’, it is hard to understand the ‘LIE elimination’ strategy.

The report here, however, was meant to show how winning numbers come out depending on the number frequencies as calculated in the previous draw. Therefore, the report you’ll see in this post must be created after EVERY lottery drawing. I experimented, though. I calculated the frequency ranks of the UK-659 lotto for all 125 draws available (to me, at least; history file courtesy of a Samaritan I royalty-name call Strewmeleahg). 8 Oct 2015 to 24 Dec 2016.

See what happens if playing the 24-number string I posted — unchanged for a number of draws.

I won’t confuse you further with the ‘COLD’ section in the report. It is the reverse of the ‘HOT’ section. Rank 58 in ‘COLD’ is the equivalent to rank 0 in ‘HOT’!

But look at the ‘POSITION BY POSITION’ section, the ‘HOT’ sub-section! If playing the ‘Hottest-24’ numbers for each position would have rendered 25 jackpot winners. Them winning draws are marked by **. There are situations where the ‘Top-20 frequent numbers’ hit the jackpot!

To be sure, the amount of combosnations to play is still very high. That’s why my software employs many types of strategies. In this case, the combinations generated by the ‘Top-Hot Lotto Numbers’ need be ‘PURGED’ and/or ‘LIE Eliminated’ further. But that would be light-year beyond the purpose of this thread.

The ‘Hottest-24 Numbers’ were phenomenal! They hit ‘4 for 4’: In 4 consecutive draws in 6-59 UK Lottery! I hadn’t expected that highly successful rate. They did NOT hit in 5 consecutive drawings, however. Therefore, I created new frequency reports for all the draws in 6-59 UK Lottery: 130 (as of January 18, 2017).

Looks like the ‘Position by position – Frequency’ set hits at least ‘5 of 6’. It hits ‘6 of 6’ in the vast majority of lottery drawings. Meanwhile, the ‘LIE Elimination’ strategy with ‘LieID = 4’ can be implemented very often. Even ‘LieID = 3’ can be imposed quite often. Plus many other ‘LIE Elimination’ strategies can be imposed with a very high degree of certainty.

The end result is a very manageable amount of tickets to play, while maintaining a high chance to win at least ‘5 of 6’.

There is an even more efficient lotto strategy. It generates 12-number combinations by applying filters (restrictions, eliminating conditions) to 6-number lotto data files. See the dedicated thread in this glorious Usenet group:

There is a total of 10 systems. There are 9 skip systems 'regardless of position' and one 'positional skip system'.
'Your System' is created from user input. Usually, the input is under FFG median. The user, however, can select any value, but it shouldn't be larger than double FFG median.

The 'regardless of position' systems are not expected to hit in the very next draw, but within a 'cycle of fruition'. The user should keep the systems unchanged and check for a number of lottery drawings. The 'positional skips' should have a better efficiency, with shorter cycles of fruition.

Keep a keen eye on them systems, axiomatics. Compare also skips to frequency — but keep everything in perspective. It is the claim to fame of a lottery pioneer recently discussed here: Gail Howard.

All lottery systems/software out there (except for the ionospheric creations of Parpaluck) are founded only on skips and frequency — and add a few prepackaged lotto wheels. The truth is above anybody and anything. We must state that those skips and frequency systems are built in the simplest-of-simplicity methodologies. Let’s say they are primitive, as they are not derived from mathematics. There ain’t math(s) in deriving a lottery system that plays only numbers that hit in the last 5 draws and also the last 10. Why 5 and 10, regardless of game format?

Methinks 20 lottery drawings in UK 6/59 lotto came and passed. 'Regardless of position' and 'Position by position' had different success rates. The non-positional method did not record any '6 of 6' hits. Meanwhile, the positional frequency method registered 12 winning cases. Again, the sectors in the report relevant to our analysis are labeled 'HOT'. The relevant columns are labeled ID6. Again, we considered only the 'hottest 24' numbers.

Again, very importantly, the non-positional strings of 'hottest 24' make very good candidates for my proprietary 'LIE Elimination' lottery strategy.

Looks like the ‘Position by position – Frequency’ set hits at least ‘5 of 6’. It hits ‘6 of 6’ in the vast majority of lottery drawings. Meanwhile, the ‘LIE Elimination’ strategy with ‘LieID = 4’ can be implemented very often. Even ‘LieID = 3’ can be imposed quite often. Plus many other ‘LIE Elimination’ strategies can be imposed with a very high degree of certainty.

• There is a new useful feature for reading the Usenet posts in Google Groups. The vast majority of newsgroup members use GROUPS.GOOGLE.COM to post and read on the Internet pioneering service, Usenet.

One drawback of the Google service, very useful otherwise, is the default font. It is a proportional font (of variable-width, that is). However, initially Usenet was written and shown in a monospace font.

Many of the statistical reports I posted did not show up in an acceptable format. The original format was in the typewriter format 9the Courier font). I shall inventory the most important posts in this newsgroup and refer the readers to this important thread. Viewing will be better off overall.

It is quite easy and simple to add this useful feature to two of your browsers: Chrome and Firefox. Just read this axiomatic thread:

Since none of the FFG skip systems generated 24 lotto numbers, I chose ‘Skip System #1’ (FFG-1L6.SYS) as the pivot and added 5 numbers from ‘Skip System #5’ (FFG-5L6.SYS). The lotto numbers are sorted in ascending order as they have an equal chance to appear. This is the skip string of 24 numbers in the 6/59 UK Lottery game:

The ‘Hottest-24 Numbers’ were phenomenal! They hit ‘4 for 4’: In 4 consecutive draws in 6-59 UK Lottery! I hadn’t expected that highly successful rate. They did NOT hit in 5 consecutive drawings, however. Therefore, I created new frequency reports for all the draws in 6-59 UK Lottery: 130 (as of January 18, 2017).

The big advantage of this type of ‘LIE Elimination’ strategies is: Taking advantage of less-winning situations. The ‘Regardless of position’ strings hit only ONE lotto number. Therefore, the ‘Reversed elimination strategy’ would eliminate ALL 2-number groups (LieID = 2) from each of the 134596 combinations (generated by 24 numbers taken 6 at a time).

Wouldn’t it eliminate ALL combinations in the game? NOT! Unless the strings of numbers – Frequency, Skips, etc. – would add up to more than (59 – 6) unique numbers. It is not the case here.

Of course, it should read 53: 59 – 53 = 6. Minimum numbers remaining in play must be 6 (for 6-number lottos; 5 for 5-number lotto games). 53 * C(6, 1) would yield 318 the minimum number of 6/59 lotto combinations to deal with. If more lottery strategies applied, that amount could drop to at least 1 — in situations when the combined strategies will hit. If 0, clearly the strategy will NOT hit. Try it again… or loosen the filter settings…

You mentioned that a 4 of 6 is rarely possible ,which is what I CANNOT agree.
Actually when a set of 25 numbers have all 6 winning numbers, or at least 5 winning numbers, the chance of making a 4 of 6 is highly possible by one or two filter to reduce 25 numbers to 13-14 numbers from which my system produce 35 tickets around.

The fact is that you may have to wait a very long time until a 4 of 6 is produced. The reason is very clear: applying same set of numbers for prediction is against the basic principle of prediction, in my humble opinion. The past cannot predict the future, only randomness can.

That is why many systems need to be involved as the most basic part of prediction is to get winning numbers in 24 numbers, let's say, instead of calculating patterns which limits your version and reduce the potential possibility to wheel a 6 in 24 to 4 of 6.

I am in a holiday mood. Since you are anxiously waiting for your World Cup of Lotto 2017, I got a gift for you. Following is an analysis of the UK 659 Lotto based on number frequency — both ‘regardless of position’ and ‘position-by-position’.
You certainly have heard of that lotto strategy that divides the lotto numbers in ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ and strongly recommends to play the ‘hottest-24’ numbers (top-24 based on frequency). Maybe there is something to it. As you can see in the next report, the strategy would have hit 5-winners on 5 occasions in the last 100 draws (marked by *).
Observe that in draws #1 (the latest, 24 Dec 2016) and #29, the strategy miss the jackpot by just 1. The 6th number in the report shows 25 — the lottery strategy needed the 25th lotto number instead (based on frequency not lotto #25 per se)!
The sections of interest in the report are: ‘Frequencies Any Position’ and ‘Hot 6’.
