I have a new system, for which the objective is to make a profit most
draws using Hotpicks-1, so a maximum of 6 numbers each draw.

Numbers for Friday

Not awful.
[48, 3, 35, 39***, 26, 37, 15]
[3, 15, 42, 26, 39***, 8***, 48]
[37, 3, 15, 24, 26, 49, 8***]
Also not awful!

Allwyn have severed links with the Post Office, making claiming
medium-sized prizes more difficult.

The rules say retailers are legally required to pay prizes of up to
£100, unless they have a particular sort of terminal limiting payments
to £50.

A winning Euromillion Hotpicks-2 entry is worth £100. I don't know what
they do if there are multiple winning entries on the same ticket but it
might be worth putting each Euromillions Hotpicks-2 entry on a separate
playslip.

That dilemma is one I don't think I'll have ;-)

So when you want 2 from 7 then that would mean 21 payslips.

That's what I would advise, although Allwyn would be the people to
contact if you want to be sure. Of course, you might have to give up
your anonymity to ask them.

I have written to them in the past using my real name. I last wrote to
them following up on their assertion that 1 in 97 lines should give you
a Match3. I asked them for their specimen lines. They replied that
they did not have that information. I know that 1 in 97 is probably a
mathematical construct but how unhelpful can you be?

I think all Lotto players should be querying the length of time it takes
them to pay out now that they've ditched the Post Office. I've seen some
horrendous stories on slow payout in the Tabloids.

I posed this question to the National Lottery on Twitter.

If, on a single Euromillions Hotpicks playslip, you entered the
following into Hotpicks-2:
1 and 2
1 and 3
2 and 3

If the numbers 1,2 and 3 are all drawn, is that one prize of £300, which
retailers are not required to pay, or three prizes of £100 which
retailers are required to pay? The response was the latter, but smaller
retailers may not be able to pay £300 so go to a large supermarket.
